Sorry I know this isn't related to the up and coming cheerleader contest, but I just couldn't wait to say this because this needed to be said.

So recently we got a comment on our groups page.

Now we rarely get any messages like this, well for as long as I been Modding the group I haven't seen any of these messages, but today this caught me by surprise. The only time we really got any complaints from our group is by people who had their artwork submitted to our group, who felt their characters didn't belong to a black women group based on their race and skin color...So we had to tell these people kindly that we were sorry that their work was submitted to our group, but they had all of the power in the world to decline our offer. Instead a few people made a big stink out of it just to prove a point that their characters would or never would be black. *rolls eyes*

Anyways, upon looking at the users gallery above they are an anti black-anti POC DA page. Then I  found a group that was solely for white women.  I will not post the groups name or information, but these are their simple guidelines.

:bulletgreen:Only White females in the images!
:bulletgreen:No tanned skin or tattoos
:bulletgreen:Keep adult images classy
:bulletgreen:No fat or obese people
:bulletgreen:The more pale the better :]
:bulletgreen:Submit your best works and have fun sharing!

Also I've seen the comments they were getting about their group, pretty much people were pissed off because they felt it was racist, fatphobic, etc. A lot of people disagreed and said that there are tons of groups on DA that only allow POC artwork. The owner of the group even advised a member to come to our group if they thought black women were beautiful too. I chuckled, because out of all of these groups these people think we have, they only could find one, they only could point us out, out of the few. Now don't get me wrong I think we have a good handful of groups dedicated to black women and black people, however we are not being exclusive to be prejudice, well that's not what I think our group is doing, we're not doing any of this to say "Black people are better than white people!" no we aren't even implying such. Our group is to showcase the black art on DA, a lot of people would have a hard time finding black artists, or black artwork on DA through regular search. People would like to see black characters. It's about representation for us. We aren't represented fully and fairly. So there are groups made for that to uplift and empower black people. Let me also mention that it's not only black people looking for black artwork either btw.

A lot of these groups aren't trying to enforce any hate or negative stereotypes. In our guidelines you don't see us saying anything about a certain type of black, a certain color of black, a certain origin of black. No. We know that black women come in all shapes, sizes, skin tones, shit even different places around the world. So in short we are not a discriminatory group and that's what I'm trying to say. All of these pale only white only groups are pretty much problematic in itself because they don't want just white women, they want a certain type of white woman, they want to exclude white women who are tan, who are fat, who have a certain hair color, only European or american, etc. those groups are far from our groups.

If....Now If anyone feels differently towards our group, you have every right to remove yourself from it, you can even block it if you feel any type of way. We're not stopping you, I'm damn sure not gonna stop you from making a decision that can better us. ALSO if we do start to get a bunch of idiotic, Neo nazi, racist comments on our page, they will be gracefully removed and users would be blocked from our page. So they won't hurt themselves trying to carry on their hateful thoughts.

Thank you for listening to my lil message, tell us how you think we're doing btw!

Well it's just like with anything else you can make a D.A group with anything you want. I think having specific art groups is a good thing, I like to go and find exactly what I'm looking for when I'm looking for art. I treat it like shopping, I know what I'm looking for so if things are sorted well it makes it easier for me =j.

Don't feed that troll. yes there are countless groups, websites etc. where Caucasian models primarily dominate. Frankly, it's most places, especially the industry. I recall reading an article some time ago that spoke of a black model who was trying to draw attention to the fact that there are few black women in the industry. The ones who generally make it are mixed/mulatto, slender, and do not exhibit many features that our women have. Most curvy women are pushed into niche magazines, videos, and corners where only other black people look for them.

There is nothing wrong with having a group which compiles images of beautiful black women as well as art into a place where they can be found easily. I watch other groups and unless it is a group like this one, the chance that I see a black model is minuscule and that's the reality of the situation, so I follow these groups to see beautiful black women. People should just accept the fact that Caucasian and mixed models are much more readily accepted and seen.

Other than that, just think of his mind frame and what he could be try to 'accomplish', let alone his username...enough said.

One more thing...you would never have to create a group to feature Caucasian models, only to exclude all others...think about it!

I remember him actually, he commented on MilkyPure's (a shallow group that only accepted pics of skinny, extremely pale white girls) page and I quote "White girls are the best. Only a White girl could ever make me happy." so I'm not even surprised to see him comment this stuff anymore. Funny how he says this page is racist yet he didnt say anything about the other one~

I think the phrase "Hater's gonna hate" sums it up.

Personally?  as long as the group doesn't drag OTHER groups down? it's all good.  We celebrate beauty in all forms here on DA.

Except for people who don't 'celebrate' beauty at all, and instead find excuses to drag other people's work down.  Those, we could probably survive without....
